Sequential Numbering Boxes have been used for numbering of banknotes since the start of serialization. Maintenance or cleaning of them reduced the uptime of the numbering process and the change of fonts with different widths were not possible.
In 2022 Zeiser addressed these matters and designed a complete new type of mechanical numbering box, which addresses these disadvantages. The new KX model is capable of accommodating different wheel widths and other font sizes in the same frame. It is very simple to exchange the individual wheels and reduces significantly invest when changing between different jobs.
The new split design of the body enables the operator to quickly change the upper part, which includes the inked wheels, for cleaning or maintenance, without losing the printing position on the banknotes. All this can be done without any tool. Changes are done very quickly and reduces the downtime of the numbering machine drastically.
